Davide De Santis is a pioneer of this method. He began his studies in 1998, becoming a student of Wang YuFang,daughter of the founder of Yi Quan, the great master Wang Xiangzhai. Upon Wang YuFang's death, Davide studied with several other students of Wang Xiangzhai, including Yu YongNian, Bai JinJia, and Han. Subsequently, he dedicated himself to the third generation, deepening his training with the children and students of Yao ZonXun (one of Wang Xiangzhai's best students), including Guo GuiZhe, Cui RuiBing, Xue, Sui YunMing, and the twin brothers Yao ChengGuan and Yao ChengRong, with whom he also collaborated for several years.

Currently, Davide De Santis is considered the foreigner with the highest level of ZhanZhuang. He also teaches therapeutic Qigong in Traditional Chinese Medicine centers in Beijing and Chengdu and is regularly invited to all Yi Quan DaChengQuan events.
